DESCRIPTION:I wanted to share with you the profound and foundational truths known as the “Five Points of Gospel Truth.” These principles encapsulate the heart of Christian theology and the message of salvation: \n\nTotal Depravity: We all are born spiritually dead\, separated from God because of our sinfulness. We are unable to choose God on our own.\nUnconditional Election: God\, in His sovereign love\, chooses to save some individuals purely out of His grace\, not based on anything they have done.\nLimited Atonement: Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross is effective for the salvation of those whom God has chosen.\nIrresistible Grace: When God calls someone to salvation\, they cannot resist His grace. His Spirit works in their hearts to bring them to faith.\nPerseverance of the Saints: Those whom God has chosen and regenerated will continue in faith and will not ultimately fall away.\n\nThese Five Points\, often associated with Reformed theology\, serve as a framework to understand the depth of God’s love and the necessity of His grace in our salvation. \nI encourage you to explore these truths further\, as they provide a solid foundation for our faith and an even greater appreciation for God’s redeeming work in our lives.

Further\, those who attend church and consider themselves Christians\, who promise “until death do us part\,” can have it all fall apart. \nAs Christians\, we know that applying biblical principles to marriage will give us a stronger foundation than those of our unbelieving friends and neighbors. Surely we know this\, but what are we doing about it? In other words\, what makes a marriage “Christian”? \nAccording to author Gary Thomas\, we’re not asking the right questions. What if your relationship isn’t as much about you and your spouse as it is about you and God?
